New Players to NHSC, Current NHSC Recreational Players & Returning NHSC Competitive Players who have been away from the Club for a season or more, that are interested in participating in competitive soccer must register for and attend Competitive Player Assessments.

Nepean Hotspurs’ competitive programs are for players seeking training and development within a competitive, committed environment with external competition through Leagues, Festivals or Tournaments. Programs are delivered by certified Nepean Hotspurs Coaches, guided by principles of long-term player development (LTPD). We are the top choice for youth soccer in Ottawa!

Nepean Hotspurs emphasizes game-like training that develops players’ physical, technical, tactical and social attributes in game-realistic settings for efficient skill transfer in competition. Nepean Hotspurs’ competitive programs have a strong reputation for developing technically adept and intelligent young players.

Our competitive pathway includes:

  • EISL (Eastern Integrated Soccer League)Ontario Soccer's new standards-based integrated league replacing the former regional structure and providing an advanced pathway for players seeking higher-level competition (formerly known as the IModel - Integrated Model Hybrid Project) . The EISL is coming to EOS in 2027, for age groups U14-U18.
  • EOSL (Eastern Ontario Soccer League) District-level Competition spanning Eastern Ontario, with Tier 1 through Tier 3 levels of play for ages U8-U18.
  • OCSL – (Ottawa Carleton Soccer League) – Senior competitive league serving Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa-Carleton region. NHSC senior teams compete in the OCSL as continuation of the high-level youth pathway for U19+ and adult players.
