Alex & Mary Foti - Volunteer of the Year Award
In 2013, the Club established the “Alex and Mary Foti Volunteer of the Year Award”. The award is named in honour of Alexander and Mary Foti, the founding members of the Nepean Hotspurs SC. The Fotis served the Club for many years as volunteers during the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s.
Alex was Club President on three separate occasions, Club Registrar, Director of Seniors, Youth Division Coordinator and Team Coach during this period. Mary served as Club Treasurer taking care of equipment, uniforms, and managing the Club finances to a surplus by the end of the 1980’s. In 1997, Alex and Mary were awarded the City of Nepean “Citizens of the Year Award”. Alex, for his work as a founding member and volunteer with the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club. Mary, for her tireless devotion and commitment to the Club in conducting the daily Club activities as Registrar and Treasurer. Mary was a valued, cherished, tireless and committed volunteer that everyone who knew her was proud to be associated with.
The award is presented annually, based on a recommendation of the Board of Directors, to a volunteer who supported the Club in the achievement of its goals and objectives during the year. The award is presented at the Club's annual awards banquet, the name of the awardee is added to the Volunteer of the Year plaque displayed at the Club office and is added to the Club website.

President’s Cup
In 2006, the Club introduced the President’s Cup which is awarded to a boys and a girls competitive team that “promotes the Nepean Hotspurs values of teamwork, sportsmanship, competitiveness and an appreciation for the game of soccer.”

Competitive Player of the Year
In 2023, the Club introduced the Player of the Year Awards to be presented to a boy and a girl youth competitive player, and a boy and a girl grassroots competitive player.
These outstanding individuals should not only achieve athletic success but also exemplify sportsmanship, commitment, honesty, discipline and perseverance in all areas of their life.
The ideal candidate is a player who epitomizes Hotspurs values and exhibits exemplary behaviour including their attitude on and off the field, leadership within the team, willingness to help teammates and others, sportsmanship shown to teammates, opponents, and officials. As well as success in their performance on the field, the individual demonstrates personal success off the field, including academically.

Competitive Coach of the Year
Introduced in 2023, this award is presented in recognition of the outstanding achievements of a Hotspurs Competitive coach, both for the performance of their team in the preceding competitive seasons and for exhibiting excellence in sport values and ongoing learning.
The recipient of this award exemplifies Hotspurs values and is dedicated to guiding their athletes to success in both sport and in life by instilling in them: honesty, integrity, a positive attitude, competitiveness, and a love of the sport. This coach leads by example and consistently demonstrates a dedication to lifelong learning and continuous improvement in their craft. The ideal candidate goes above and beyond the typical role of coach and leads by example.

Rocco Barresi - Recreational Coach of the Year
In 2023, the Club established the “Rocco Barresi Recreational Coach of the Year Award”. The award is named in honour of Rocco Barresi, a long-standing member of the Nepean Hotspurs SC. In his time with the Club, Rocco has given many of his talents, time and resources to support competitive youth and adult teams, club events, leagues and much more to bring success to the Club. He has held the roles of Club Vice President, Club Director of Girls Competitive, Club Discipline Chair, Coach of Top Gun, and Volunteer.
From 2012-2023, Rocco was the Recreational Program Coordinator for our Let the Kids Play, and Hotspurs Indoor Development programs. His dedication in this role to the programs and compassion for the players and their parents has been unparalleled. Year after year, Rocco played a vital role in the recruitment and mentoring of our recreational program coaches.
The Rocco Barresi Recreational Coach of the Year Award is presented annually to a coach in the Hotspurs Recreational programs. The recipient is recognized for his or her coaching activities, sportsmanship, investment in player development, personal coaching development, and citizenship. The ideal candidate exemplifies Hotspurs values, emphasizes fun while developing players' soccer skills, goes above and beyond their role as coach, and leads by example.
