Telus SHECAN Coach

Empowering the next generation of female leaders in the beautiful game!

Nepean Hotspurs is proud to have participated in Year 2 and Year 3 of Canada Soccer’s Telus SheCAN Coach program — a national initiative designed to recruit, develop, and inspire female coaches across the country. We hope to continue our participation in Year 4 (2027) and will have updated information for another year of programming, following the Club application period in the fall of 2026.

Community & Connection

To help build strong relationships, we take a community-focused approach to SheCAN Coach programming at NHSC:

  • 1–2 social activities for the group throughout the program duration
  • Regular check-ins with our program leaders and Sporting Director
  • A group WhatsApp chat for ongoing support
  • Invitation to special coaching events and learning opportunities

Integration with our Hotspurs for Her Program

  • Free Soccer sessions for girls and women
  • Women coaches working with women and girls
  • Help with leading activities while receiving coaching direction
  • Focused on fun, development, and mentorship
  • Runs year-round
