KidSport™ Ottawa currently offers three types of grant programs:
To date KidSport™ Ottawa has helped over 700 children and youth from low-income families participate in sport.
Their Opportunity exists to provide low-income families with the means to enrol their children in local sports programs. Our hope is that by alleviating the financial costs of enrolment fees, children can develop the confidence, social skills and healthy lifestyle attainable through sport.
Nepean Hotspurs SC is committed to making soccer accessible to as many youth players as possible. Low family income should not be a barrier to committed players who desire to learn to play soccer and to realize their full potential in the sport. This program is intended to supplement funding that is available from other financial support programs for children like: Jumpstart and Kidsport. Applicants must first apply to the programs listed above. Help for first-time applicants is available at the Club office.
If you need help with your financial assistance application(s), bring all required documents to the Club office during office hours.
If you are not eligible for financial assistance but need some flexibility in your payment timeline, please contact gm@nepeanhotspurs.ca. We will create a payment plan that works for your financial situation.
A minimum payment will be required at the time of registration in order to hold your spot in a program.
The Angela Cardinali-Barresi Benevolence Fund was established in 2023 with the purpose of assisting members of our community with funding for participation in Hotspurs soccer programs.
Angie was the heart and soul of the Hotspurs for more than 25 years. She was a rock that reliably and attentively took care of our members, our coaches, staff and directors; always working tirelessly to ensure we felt at home. We lost Angie in March of 2022 following a short battle with cancer.
Angie's thoughtfulness was unparalleled and so we are proud to establish this fund in her memory. The Benevolence Fund is tied directly to our Club Fee Assistance Program which provides financial support to families in need.
Donations to the Angela-Cardinali Barresi Benevolence Fun can be made through your Powerup Member Account.
Please note that the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club is a not-for-profit organization and not a charitable organization. We are not able to issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes.
