Become a Coach
If your interested in becoming a coach with the Nepean Hotspurs please contact the Club Sporting Director, Lloyd Barker (lbarker@nepeanhotspurs.ca). Please provide your coaching resume describing any past coaching experience and current certification level.
If you are a first-time coach please provide Lloyd with some details on why you are interested in becoming a coach, and any leadership experience you may have. We offer coaches who may be new to the role of coach, the opportunity to coach in our recreational programs and support in completing the necessary screening, certifications, and internal education programs.
Whether you’re a parent Coach wanting to Coach your child, a player wanting to trade the boots for the clipboard, or just want to explore the world of Coaching, there ares great opportunities to Coach with the Hotspurs! Below are a few of the perks of Coaching with NHSC!

All NHSC Coaches must meet the minimum coaching certification, screening and safe sport training requirements for their coaching assignment.
Recreational Coaches are required to complete the 'Coaching Soccer in Canada' module, which can be found in the online theory portion of any of the courses below + the Safe Sport Roster + Club Requirements.
Competitive and Specialty Program Coaches are required to complete their full coaching certification (theory and practical) + the Safe Sport Roster + Club Requirements.
Club requirements:
Participants can register and attend courses at the age of 14 or older but will not receive official certification/designation until their 16th birthday, as per the rules of NCCP. To view all requirements, please click here.
