Youth Recreational Soccer – U13 to U16
Due to COVID-19, the Hotspurs will not be offering this program this summer.
Nepean Hotspurs Recreational teams, along with teams from Ottawa City will be participating in the ERSL Recreation or Tier 2 league in 2020. The Hotspurs will be forming 2 teams one at the U14 age group for (U13,U14) and one at the U16 age group for (U15, U16) for both Boys and Girls
The season operates from Mid May through to the end of August. Hotspurs Recreational teams normally have one game and one practice a week.
The Nepean Hotspurs will attempt to schedule practice nights for its teams on opposite nights from game nights. For example if your game night is Wednesday your practice will generally be on a Monday.

The rules and regulations, of the ERSL league are primarily FIFA based except as modified by the League. Games are played on a full field 11v11. Game Length: U13 & U14 – 2 x 45 minute halves, U15 & U16-17 – 2 x 45 minute halves. Hotspurs teams will play scheduled home and away games against ERSL teams from other member clubs (Full list of Clubs)

Recreational soccer provides the opportunity for equal playing time and to play and learn the game in a supportive TEAM environment. Coaches will work to help players achieve individual skill improvements with the ball as well as encourage players to learn a basic life skill in working and supporting each other in a team environment.

*There are 2 nights being offered for the District Development 1 (D1) divisions, Sunday, and a weeknight. Clubs may only select one registration option for each team. Viability of these divisions will depend on the number of teams registered.
For information the new division nomenclature for 2019 please see below. Division nomenclature was elected to be changed in order to better align with division naming in the senior divisions of the OCSL. This should provide some new consistency for Clubs across Leagues.
