Coach Lauren Alexander named one of nine mentees selected for the Ontario Soccer Association Female Mentorship Program for 2014-15
The Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Coach Lauren Alexander has been named one of nine mentees selected for the 2014-15, Ontario Soccer Association’s, Female Mentorship Program. Coaches were selected based on experience, potential and recommendations. The nine-month program will help prepare coaches to excel in the coaching leadership role as they aspire to attain their Provincial B and National level Licenses.
Lauren has recently completed her Pre B assessment, and looks forward to the opportunity of being part of the Mentorship Program as she pursues the Provincial B License. Her experience as a competitive soccer player and Registered Early Childhood Educator, combined with her passion for coaching have provided her with a solid background to make a meaningful contribution to soccer in Ontario, with the long term goal of broadening her contribution across Canada.
Lauren, you are a personable, dedicated, energetic and encouraging coach with a first class coaching demeanor. We commend you, and wholeheartedly continue to support you!

About the OSA Female Mentorship Program
The Female Mentorship Program is designed to train senior level female coaches, who in turn will act as educators and mentors to other female coaches who wish to further develop and progress their coaching careers. The mentorship program is part of a holistic support system approach to enabling promising coaches across the province to reach their full coaching potential in the sport. The Ontario Soccer Association is aiming to increase the number of active elite female coaches and to create an improved female coaching culture.
